Since I have spent the last week at the Happiest Place on Earth, I wasn't able to go to a Weight Watchers meeting to weigh-in on Saturday. That's okay. With the Weight Watchers Freestyle plan, it's easy. I have done everything in my power to stay on track, but still enjoy Disney without undoing everything I have worked hard for the last 5 months. Not to mention to stay on target to lose another 7 - 10 pounds before my Princess Half Marathon at the end of February.
I love Dole Whip and I enjoyed every bite of it. They have the best Churros, too. And this time I even had a Mickey Ice Cream bar. Just a few treats, otherwise, a healthy week. The best thing about Disney is that they will work with you to accommodate your diet. It's up to you to make the right choices.
And those step-counts.....if you've never been on a walking vacation, you have no idea that you are going to have a 20K+ step count every day. My biggest step-count day ever was after my Half Marathon last spring. Two years ago was my first trip to Disney since I was in high school. I was out of shape and heavier than I am now. By the third day, my back was hurting and I was exhausted. I wasn't used to all this walking and standing in line and stuff. I didn't realize at the time, but it was because I was out of shape. I haven't had that experience again because every trip since then, I have been signed up for a run. I was "forced" to get in shape. Now I love being in shape and never tiring. When we do Disney....we DO Disney. We are there for rope drop (unless we're running a long run) and we stay until the last fire cracker pops at closing. We don't miss anything and we enjoy ALL of it. We plan out our trip so we can do the things we want to and aren't stuck in lines half the day. We make the most of our time and have a ton of fun doing it!
I've gotten in all of my training runs this week, including a 5K. This was my first 5K at Disney. I've run a 10K and a Half Marathon here, but never a 5K. I love the Disney runs because you always get a superfly medal.

Can’t wait for the next trip in February!
