Last week, my little area of North Carolina was on the receiving end of what turned out to be quite a snow storm! Forecast: 1-3" but the actual was 6+". I'm not complaining. If they are going to get it wrong, that's the direction we want to see! It turns out I had a lot of vacation time to burn up before the end of the fiscal year, so I just took three days off. I did absolutely nothing. It was wonderful. I was snowed in and happy to snuggle up on the sofa with the dogs.
What I hated was having to miss HIIT class and my first Power Yoga class. I was looking forward to that one with Jenn. The rest of January is full of stuff on Thursday, but after that... Power Yoga is back on the schedule!! And I've even heard an additional class was added For Tuesday evenings that works even better!!
So this past week was good in that there wasn't much eating out, aside from the Burgers on Monday. I have mentioned before that my favorite cheat is a cheeseburger and I do have one about once a week. When my training runs slow down....so will my weekly burger cheats. I know I can only do this now because I run 3 times a week with a long run on Saturdays. It's all trial and error, but so far, what I have figured out about my own body is working.
Lunches during the snow included Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese. Other meals included beans and veggies to counter balance these points. My breakfasts continue to remain consistent....the Laurie McMuffin.
Weigh-in on Saturday proved to be another great loss. Down -1.4 after being snowed in and I will take it. We went sledding on Friday afternoon. Afterward, we went out to lunch at Blue Rock (my favorite in High Point). I ordered the Jerk Chicken salad, but ended up with a slice of pepperoni with bacon for dessert. I don't usually splurge the day before weigh-in, so I was pleasantly surprised. I also hit the -25 pound mark this week. I cannot believe I have lost 25 pounds. Seems unbelievable, but my clothes tell me it's true.
I made up for my sedentary week on Saturday and attended my first Boot Camp class at FitHub on Saturday. Talk about kicking butt and taking names. It was hard as hell and awesome all at the same time. That afternoon, I took my first ever, Chakra Yoga class. It was amazing. I have needed to clear my chakras and get unstuck. When I saw it on the list of offerings, I was immediately drawn to it. I'm already signed up for next week. It will definitely help me clear more mental clutter and get me moving on my goals.
