Here we go.....it's finally here. Weight Watchers Freestyle! I have to tell you, I was nervous about it. I knew a lot of proteins were going to be moved to zero points, BUT you were going to lose some daily points. I did some quick math and couldn't decide if it was worth it for me or not. I was late to my meeting because I was late to the gym (of course) and as always, I under-estimated the time it would take me to drive there and to run three miles on the treadmill. Luckily, I could hear Barbara just starting so I didn't miss anything.
First things first, I lost the pound I gained last week, plus one more. I was thrilled and surprised, but I think my body was trying to plateau. To avoid the plateau, after I ran 6.5 miles last weekend, I ate the most unhealthy dinner at CookOut. Yeah, you read that right. I ate a cheeseburger, fries, AND a corndog. Shockingly, I didn't opt for a shake. All cravings are now satisfied and I'm right back on plan.
What I am loving most about the Freestyle program is all the zero point protein. I can eat chicken, eggs, and beans all day. Seriously. And now? Well, I have make that tuna salad and egg salad and only have the mayo points. That's huge to me. I really think, after much deliberating, that this is going to be a game changer in my weight loss. Time will tell.
That said, I am also thinking about changing my weigh-in day to join my friend, Kelly, at her office meetings on Wednesday. It's always better and easier with friends! And she's a life-timer....so that gives me huge inspiration.
Have a great week!!
