WW Check-In: Freestyle

Anyone currently doing weight watchers knows that this week is the launch of the Weight Watchers Freestyle program.  I  am looking forward to the new improvements, especially if they are what I've seen rolled out in the UK.  My weigh-in day is Saturday (the last WW day of the week) so I have not seen my app updated with the new plan and I can only assume it will be rolled out once I have my next weigh-in.  The main reason I know this is because eggs are now 0 (ZERO) points and mine are still 2.

From the Weight Watchers Site:

How will you Freestyle?

Our program is still based on our science-backed SmartPoints® system, which encourages you to eat more fruits, veggies, lean protein, and less sugar and unhealthy fats.
New to the program are 200+ zero Points® foods, that you don't ever have to portion or track.
Spend your personalized SmartPoints Budget on any food you like. With new rollovers, you can transfer extra SmartPoints to another day, keeping the program flexible and livable.

That said, after several weeks of losses in November, I start December up a pound.  With the new program ready to roll out, I have been giving myself a pass on eating off plan a little bit.  I know this will sound crazy, but I like to let my body think that it's getting to eat more, so when I roll onto to the new program, the weight will come off without the frustration of a long term plateau (like I saw the entire month of October).  Being up one pound was not shocking to me.  What was shocking was losing a pound two days after Thanksgiving.  That was unexpected and right then and there I knew an increase was coming.  I guess when you have spent the majority of your life "on a diet" you know your body and how it will react.
I also missed a training run this week due to not re-setting my Thursday alarm from Thanksgiving. No harm, no foul.  I had a 6.5 mile run on Sunday (the warmer and nicer of the two days this past weekend) and will be back on track this week.  Next weekend is a 3 mile run that I will do on the treadmill because I keep seeing snowflakes on the Weather app.  I'm not happy about that, but the sooner we get this over with, the sooner it will be warm again.

Who else is working the new Freestyle plan?  I think it will be a game changer with a low carb/low sugar/high protein plan.  I fully expect to see more loss with it, as long as the holidays don't get in my way.  I am already having a heck of time this week craving junk food and sweets.  Mid-life hormone surges suck.
