Weekend Check List: The Last Jedi

Happy Friday!  Last night we saw Star Wars: The Last Jedi and I loved it.  Of course, I need to see it again because I am sure there are things I missed.  I have to admit, I got teary when it started and then cried when General Leia had her first scene.  As I see it, it's the end of an era and the close of Star Wars from my childhood with Carrie Fisher's passing.  I will always see her as my first "hero."

Thoughts for today:

Reading:
I have actually been reading!!  My goal is to finish up Daring Greatly:  Howe the Courage to be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead.  This is one of those books that makes you take a look at yourself.  It's hard.  I think that's why it's taking me so long to read it.

Working on:
My December goals.  Hitting a weight loss goal during the holidays is hard, but I think the new Weight Watcher Freestyle plan is going to help me get there.  Weigh in tomorrow after my first week and I've been seeing my scale at home MOVE.  I mean MOVE.  Not teetor totter with those same two pounds.  It truly gives me hope that I will drop 10 - 15 more by the Disney Princess Half.

Creating:
Home Portrait commissions are done for holiday delivery.  Its now time for baking and I've just completed my first attempt at Bacon Bourbon Toffee.  Since the hot sugar caused some of the bacon to burn when added, my next go will be a little different, but I know it will be good and my friends will be happy.

Seeing:
Star Wars: The Last Jedi.  And in the immortal words of Forest Gump, "That's all I've got to say about that."  This is a NO SPOILER ZONE so don't even talk about it.  Here's the TRAILER.
Waiting:
For Old St. Nick.  I'm ready for the long holiday weekend.  4 days off and then a 3 day work week between Christmas and New Years.  After that, I'm off for a little over a week to head to Walt Disney World for Naren to run the Disney Marathon Weekend Dopey Challenge.

Noticing:
Big movement on the scale and having an easy time staying in my points range.  I'm seeing big strides in my HIIT class, too.  I can tell I am physically stronger.  I can feel my abs tighten when I run all the way around.  It's a good feeling and a huge motivator.

What are your weekend thoughts and plans?  We have our annual Employee Sale tomorrow.  I wasn't going to go and then I realized my sizes have changed and this would be a good time to try to find something smaller to wear this spring/summer.  We shall see!

  1. MFD went to see it last night, solo! I can't do 9:30 movies on a school night LOL. I was asleep on the couch by the time the movie started.
