WW Check-In: Keeping the Blue Dots

I had one of the best week's I've had with WW in a long time.  I kept myself eating fruit and veggies instead of peanut butter and reduced fat Nilla wafers for snacks.  I went for the blue dots every day and that is not easy.  Down a whopping 2.8 this week.

I also completed week 2 of training for the upcoming Disney Princess Half Marathon.  I felt like I'd lost 3 pounds and boy was I close.  and I ran 3 miles without walking one time.  When I have these smaller runs, I try to run the entire time and increase my speed.  for the "long run days" I am still under 5 miles so I feel like I can do those, too.

A huge NSV this week, too.  An NSV is a non-scale victory.   First, I got into some much smaller jeans.  They are bootcut and I know they are cut different than regular, but no matter....a win is a win.  Next, I realized it wasn't a struggle to zip my wide calf boots.  Then I realized there is enough room for me to stick my hand in there.  That's huge for me.  So huge, that if you haven't heard about it already, then you've been avoiding my social media.  I was VERY excited about it.

And let's give credit where credit is due.  Cardio is important, especially for building my endurance for the half, but I'm also getting stronger thanks to the HIIT (high intensity interval training) class at FitHub.  I'm signed up to do this every Wednesday evening for the foreseeable future.  I think today is the first day my abs aren't sore from last week's workout.  If you want to know how soft you are, try holding a plank or doing plank twists for a minute.

My new obsession is the Halo Top Candy Bar.  Holy cow, I think this has beat out chocolate peanut butter for the top Halo spot.  It's a snickers rolled up in a container of "ice cream."
November Goals.  Inspired to create monthly goals to keep myself on track, I have listed out my goals, so of which are requirements--like running three days a week. All in areas that will inspire me to be a better person.  An we all know how much I love checking off a to-do list.  What better way to achieve your goals than list them out.
Here's to another good week....because Thanksgiving is coming and I want to enjoy it.  It's one of the few times a year that I get to eat sweet potato casserole and pineapple casserole and lime jello salad.  And yes, all of that is a very, very Southern thing.  It gives into my sweet-tooth by making you think it's part of dinner and not dessert.  Either way, it's a day of family and food and you can't beat it!
