Happy Friday! I am thrilled to see the weekend once again. My dogs are currently on a schedule for getting up around 5 (and next week it better not be 4 with the time change either). I'm tired and ready to get some rest. I also have quite a few commissions to finish for the holidays and several to be picked up that are ready. I'm not one for hanging onto them when completed for fear they may be ruined by my dogs. And, I have my half marathon training to do and a weight watchers check-in on Saturday.
Thoughts for today:
Reading:
The same books I've had on my bedside table for over two years. I think I will add reading to my goals list this month. I feel like October was a quick month that was full of events, parties, and activities. I hope November may slow down a bit. With a four day holiday weekend, surely there will be time to catch up on things.
Working on:
My list of goals for November. Create more, journal more, clear out more junk, keep up with training, etc., and so on.
Creating:
Home Portrait commissions and brushing up on my pastels. I still haven't found my favorite Pastel set yet. In art class last week, I loved how the Unison felt on the paper. I'm not surprised. I have never found myself satisfied with an inexpensive version of anything. These retail for over $200 for a set of 63.
Noticing:
Very little movement on the scale and working really hard at staying in my points range. I know I'm losing even if the scale isn't moving. Clothes fit different and even my shoes fit different. As in my calves have more room in my boots this week. Most people don't realize when you gain weight, your show size increases. I was always an 8 until one day I was an 8.5. I was also a lot bigger than I had "always" been. I know with my regular runs now that I will begin to see a difference on the scale once my body realizes I am not in starvation mode. I read recently that your body likes to maintain it's fat level so when you lose fat, you are constantly hungry (hello, that's been my life once I hit the 10 pound mark). Your body wants to replace the fat it's lost so you have to power through. I'm not sure of the scientific accuracy, but it sure sounds right to me.

Seeing:
Thor Ragnarok. I'm a huge Thor fan. Well, let's be honest. I'm a huge fan of Chris Hemsworth...I can watch him in anything. We went to see Thor Ragnarok last night and it was the most entertaining movie I've seen in a while. I love Marvel movies and I love comedies and this was both. Go see it!!
It's action-packed and hilarious and it's got Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston and Mark Ruffalo and may more. What more do you need?
Waiting:
I'm waiting for the world to watch Stranger Things 2. I'm a walking, spoiler time-bomb and I NEED to talk about it. Last Sunday, we spent the entire day binge-watching Stranger Things 2 (all 9 hours). Lots of character building in this season that I am happy to see. I'd love to write more, but it would be a major spoiler alert.

What are your weekend thoughts and plans?
