As I get older and maybe somewhat wiser, I have realized that I was put on this earth to create. I'm not hell-bent on one specific way to create. I love to cook and bake, but I also love to draw and paint. I studied interior design, but found myself drawn to the creative part of the work....the sketches and renderings were my favorite parts. The more I draw and paint, the more I love it.
I've most recently fallen in love with illustration. Mixing pen and ink with watercolor. There is something about adding the pen work that brings out details I may have overlooked otherwise.
I love meeting other creatives and artists. Sharing ideas and thoughts on work. Some use arts and crafts as a hobby and some as a profession. Lucky are those who do what they love for a living. As I continue to cultivate my skills and hone my craft, I move closer and closer to being able to do what I love for a living. For now, I will continue to take commissions and paint for myself. And share my love of art with you.
