Welcome Back

Sometimes I feel like I'm a goldfish. Well, a Dory really. I have the attention span of a goldfish and all it takes is something sparkly to get me off my target. Kind of like Dory from Finding Nemo. It only takes a second to get me off track. This blog was a victim of such and after spending the entire summer changing things in my life....I'm back. And quite frankly, better than ever! I seem to change course more than the tide itself. Ah, but at least I keep swimming, right? I'm pushing Cottage Vibes back out there because one, I like to write about my health and wellness. Two, my art blog is not the place for that and I needed to fix it. Three, I finally got myself back on WW and I'm doing really well. Finally, four, I've found something in Plexus that I never dreamed possible....my own gut health....and I want to share my journey, too. So, here we are. New Blog....Who Dis?

I just re-read my first blog post from 2017 when Cottage Vibes was born. I have never lost my love of writing, though, I do seem to lose track of time to do so. The first post talks about how I retired my original lifestyle blog in 2009 when I went to work at Ralph Lauren. While working, I just didn't give myself enough time to write and share my view of the world enough to keep this blog going. The funny thing is, my last draft was from last December. I never got around to posting it, but it was full of holiday cheer....and NO COVID19. Times have changed. We are all living life differently now. One full of plenty of time at home. I was laid off back in August after 11 years of service. I loved my job, but I was honestly happy to be free. I have a higher calling and now, I have the chance to chase it. Weight Watchers Check In - Skipped This Week

I had a busy weekend celebrating one of my best friends on her upcoming nuptials. We had a full weekend planned of dinners, festivals, and libations. It was a lot of fun, but not quite WW friendly. It also didn't leave my any time to get by my meeting. So, instead of checking in, I'll share a little bit of our fun from the weekend. Paige, her sisters and I had a wonderful dinner at 98 Bistro. Tu, the most gracious restaurant owner and hostess with the mostess, kept the drinks flowing and we enjoyed everything from Larb to Lettuce Wraps. It was a fairly early evening for me since we had big plans on Saturday. Five of us travlled to Salisbury for Hippie Fest. I'll be honest, I didn't think this was going to be my thing, but we had SO much fun! Picked up two new tie dyes from Corndog Tie dyes.
